5个面试技巧，教你顺利完成英文面试！

在求职过程中，不管你是要进入外资公司，或是在国外求职，皆有可能遇到英文面试的环节。那你是否有自信面对英文面试呢？这篇文章分享了面试官多数会提问的五大英文问题，透过不同的回答技巧与范例，我们将帮助你更有自信地回答英文面试问题，提升英文面试技巧！

1. Tell me about yourself. 请简单做自我介绍
英文面试的自我介绍应当要简明扼要，并将内容着重于近几年的相关专业与经历分享。我们需要将这些内容尽可能地连结到我们面试的职位，以达到加分效果。例如：积极投入团队运动，证明自己能够成为工作中的团队合作者，且在工作与生活上取得平衡，能够帮助自己提高工作效率。

I’ve worked in this industry for over ten years…
我在这个行业已工作超过十年...

In my current role, my key priorities are…
在我现在的职位中，我的主要职责是...

Through my previous positions in the industry, I’ve also built up experience in…
透过先前的工作，我获得了...的经验。

Tip: Join vs. Work.
‍当我们用英文说明自己在某间公司的年资时，分别会用 ‘joined the company’ 或 'worked for the company’。两者的语意和动词型态皆不同，因此使用上，也需要多注意语法是否正确。

I joined the company in 2012.
我在 2012 年时加入了公司。(在特定时间加入公司，使用过去式)

I’ve been working for the company for 10 years.
我在这家公司工作了 10 年。(到现在已工作了一段时间，使用现在完成式)

2. Could you tell me about a time when you…? 可以分享你...的经验吗？
在英文面试中，面试官不免会请你分享过往的专案成就或经验。这时，我们可以试着使用【STAR 架构】—— Situation 情况，Task 任务，Action 行动，Result 结果。而我们在利用此架构描述时，「为了顺利达到某种结果，而采取某种行动」是我们最需要强调的部分，并且明确且简单扼要地描述过去经验。

【Situation 情况】
A good example of this skill happened in my current job a few months ago.
几个月前，我在工作中曾运用过这项技能。

I can think of one example that took place in my company about six months ago.
大约六个月前，公司曾...

So, about two years ago, I encountered a situation just like you described. I...
大约两年前，我也曾碰过这样的状况，当时我...

【Task 任务】

Tip: Use strong verbs to describe your actions. 使用行为动词
在描述我们的经历时，强烈的行为动词可以更加显现我们的专业。

3. What would you do if…?  如果...，你会怎么做呢？
若我们能将假设性的问题回答好，便能够展现我们解决问题的能力。回答假设性问题时，特别注意英文上会使用特定的过去型态来描述。另外，我们也可以利用过去经验来回答假设性问题，并且顺势地提及相关的技能与经历。

If I were in this situation, one of the most important factors I would consider is…
假设我遇见这样的状况，我所考虑的因素中，最重要的会是...

In this situation, I would…
在这样的假设情况下，我会...

This question reminds me of a real life situation I faced once. In that case, my approach was to…

Tip: Would you or will you?
在过去非事实的假设状况下，我们用 'would do'。
未来有机会发生的假设状况下，我们则用 'will do'。

If I got a promotion, I would take my family to Tokyo Disneyland.
如果我获得升迁，我会带我的家人到东京迪士尼。(事实上并无升迁)

If I get the promotion, I will take my family to Tokyo Disneyland.
如果我获得升迁，我会带我的家人到东京迪士尼。(说明未来有机会升迁的话)

4. What is your greatest weakness? 你最大的劣势是什么呢？
以往我们碰到这项问题时，也许会将自己的劣势包装成另一种优势。但相反地，我们其实可以诚实地述说真正的不足之处，并描述自己如何克服此劣势。

五招教你在英语面试中如履平地

01 标签化的自我介绍

大家可以想象一下，当面试老师一天要完成与几十个候选人的初次见面与评价时，因为每个人都在“使用”相似的自我介绍模板，我们好像很难摆脱“My name is XXX and I’m from YYY”的平庸开头，而乏味的开端就注定了我们需要在面试的后半段做出更多努力来抓住面试老师的注意力，所以教大家一个小Tip：我们在介绍姓甚名谁之前给自己贴一个标签，并且尝试制造冲突感吸引听者注意。比如“具有艺术家思维的产品经理”，再如“擅长与数据打交道的文科生”。

02 分时段多维度的自我规划

不管是应届考生，还是有着多年工作经验的“老江湖”，在面试时，老师都会关注你今后的职业规划，一方面考查考生自身想法是否清晰，一方面衡量考生与此项目人才培养方向的匹配度。所以，建议同学们在回答这个问题的时候不要一两句话泛泛而谈，我们可以从未来需要就职的平台，某个阶段具体想要达成的职位，主攻的业务，以及管理的体量等等角度来阐述这个问题。

Could you please tell us some of your future career plan?

Well, I’ve set a relatively specific plan for my career development. During my graduate time, I’d like to take part in the projects and internships related to my major as much as I can so that I can strengthen my practical ability. In the next three years after graduation, I’d like to take root in the consulting industry, starting as a consultant, to be a project manager and to manage my own team. In the next five years after graduation, I'll probably change my position from Party B to Party A to independently manage the implementation of the project.

03 回答问题逻辑化

一般当我们在回答老师问题的时候，可以将自己的回答设定在一个框架中，并从不同角度分析和阐述问题，这样面试老师会认为表达者思路清晰，并且具有应对现场压力的良好心理素质。

示例

Why do you want to apply for this program?

Speaking of this question, I’d like to express my thoughts in two aspects.

First of all, I applied for this program because I feel the need to have further education in both management and professional knowledge. With my position being promoted to be the leader of my team, I believe what I can learn in this program will be helpful for my future work. Besides, I know my future classmates and mentors will come from different industries, which will inspire me with broader vision.

04 数字是最直观的说服利器

在面试中，我们明白自己要去展现自己的优势，所以我们经常听到这样的表述：我的领导力很强；我学习能力很好；我的专业知识扎实。但其实对于面试官来说，这些表述都十分笼统，所以想要体现领导力，我们可以换种表达：

After entering this start-up, I built a five-person product marketing team from scratch within a month, and put the team work on track rapidly. (在进入这家初创企业后，我从零开始在一个月内搭建了五个人的产品营销团队，并使团队工作很快步入正轨)

想要表达学习能力很好，我们可以换种表达：

After work, I passed the CFA exam in two years by self-study（在工作之余，我靠自学在两年间通过了CFA考试）

数字就像我们写议论文时有力的论据，直观并且突出，可以加深面试老师对我们的印象。

05 真诚是不二法器

对学商科的同学来说，曾经校招的时候排排坐的小组面试相信大家都还记忆犹新，我们在这样的场合下，非常直观地感受到了压力，而在我们的个人面试中，压力面试也普遍存在，面试老师可能会用一种“质疑”的语气提出一些不太容易回答的问题。比如：Has anyone ever told you that you have some disadvantages?

这是一道典型的压力面试题，大家都知道面试场合下不能说出不利于自己形象的表述，所以我们中的很多同学选择说一些自己有强迫症，完美主义等等不痛不痒的说辞，面试老师也明白我们的套路，这个问题我们的表现就有了一些隔靴搔痒之意，所以在这里给大家一个新的思路：我们可以告诉老师过去曾经存在过的问题，并突出目前已经有所改变的现状，这样，我们既没有逃避问题，也给了老师我们在持续进步的积极印象。

As for my weakness, when I took over the management position for the first time, I tended to arrange every specific task for each of my member instead of communicating with them as much as possible in the working process. Later I found the importance of timely communication and adjusted my management strategies. The specific problems were solved successfully before they became the tough ones. And I improved my communication skills. Now things have got much better.
