大家一起快乐记单词


【活动内容】

英语角每周放出七个单词，并配上妙趣横生的图片。
帮助大家在会心一笑的同时，记住这些英文单词。
咱们的要求就是，请大家在了解完各自的单词之后，
用该单词造个句子即可。
轻轻松松学英语，就是这么简单！
下面的则是一些在囧记单词里面的一些小附加神马的。活动内容及奖励不变


【活动奖励】

用每期所给出的七个单词分别造句。每造一句子，20PB的奖励，限3句，每句句型不得重复。相同的单词限同一楼层回复。

规则：

         1. 一个句子奖励20PB，在同一个句子中，每多使用本期的一个单词，就多奖励5PB，即一个句子里使用两个单词奖励25PB，使用三个单词奖励30PB，以此类推。   用到两个及以上单词时，请用不同颜色标注出你所用到的单词。
2．每周七个单词，每个单词都至少造一个句子，且都符合造句要求的将获得英语角骑士勋章2积分。
         3.欢迎大家提供新的单词来记，版主根据难易度和常见度审核所提交的单词，一经采纳，更有多重惊喜等你来拿！
         4.为了“记单词”活动更有声色，更具有实际性，从这期开始，LZ会在贴子里增加好听的英文歌，也希望参加的各位pairs多多提供好听的英文歌，一经采纳，同样有多重惊喜！~(≧▽≦)/~啦啦啦

【造句要求】

使用每周给出的新单词造句，所造句子不可与给出的例句雷同；专有名词，如地名，人名，商标名，书名，电影电视名，歌曲名等等，不可用于造句；也不可造类似“I have learned a new word or phrase "XXX".”这种不能体现该单词意义的句子。

英语角的单词造句鼓励原创，若被版主有理由怀疑其从网上直接摘抄，将不给活动分。

1. ADJ  烹饪的 Culinary means concerned with cooking.

 creepy ['kri:pɪ] adj. 恐怖的，怪异的，慢慢爬行的；痒痒的，毛骨悚然的









creepy

1. ADJ-GRADED 令人紧张不安的;令人毛骨悚然的 If you say that something or someone is creepy, you mean they make you feel very nervous or frightened.  

例：acting this creepy, you could scare someone to death, now stop it!
       老兄，想吓死个人啊，别这样行不？

       There were certain places that were really creepy at night...
       有些地方晚上真是让人不寒而栗。

 dizzy  [ˈdɪzi] a. 头晕目眩的，眩晕的；（可能）使人头晕的，极高的









dizzy

1. ADJ-GRADED 头晕目眩的;眩晕的 If you feel dizzy, you feel that you are losing your balance and are about to fall.  

例：This young lady looks good...so good that it makes you feel dizzy.
       这小妹儿那个美啊...美得让人头晕。

2. ADJ-GRADED 粗心的，没记性的，大大咧咧的 You can use dizzy to describe a woman who is careless and forgets things, but is easy to like.  
例： ...a charmingly dizzy great-grandmother.
       一位迷人的大大咧咧的曾祖母

3. VERB使眩晕;使困惑;使晕头转向 If something dizzies you, it causes you to feel unsteady or confused.  

例：The sudden height dizzied her and she clung tightly.

equilibrium

1. N-VAR 平衡;均衡;均势 Equilibrium is a balance between several different influences or aspects of a situation.  

例：We finally reached an equilibrium, but it was short lived.
       嗯，终于找到平衡了，虽然没持续多久点。

2. N-UNCOUNT （内心的）平静，安宁 Someone's equilibrium is their normal calm state of mind.  

例： I paused in the hall to take three deep breaths to restore my equilibrium...

 Sagittarius [ˌsædʒɪˈtɛriəs]  n. （天文）射手座，人马座









Sagittarius

1. N-UNCOUNT 人马宫，人马座(黄道十二宫之一。出生于11月22日至12月21日之间的人属比星座) Sagittarius is one of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Its symbol is a creature that is half horse, half man, shooting an arrow. People who are born approximately between the 22nd of November and the 21st of December come under this sign.

例：Your bride must be a sagittarius.

 anticipation [ænˌtɪsəˈpeʃən]   n. 预期；预料









anticipation

1. N-UNCOUNT 预期;预料;期望;期盼 Anticipation is a feeling of excitement about something pleasant or exciting that you know is going to happen.  

例：Her anticipation of the rain seems more like a fantasy.
       她对雨的期盼更像是空想啊。

2. PHRASE 期待着；预计到 If something is done in anticipation of an event, it is done because people believe that event is going to happen.  

例： Troops in the Philippines have been put on full alert in anticipation of trouble during a planned general strike.

 perfunctory  [pɚˈfʌŋktəri]  adj. 马马虎虎的；敷衍的









perfunctory

1. ADJ-GRADED 敷衍的；潦草的；马马虎虎的 A perfunctory action is done quickly and carelessly, and shows a lack of interest in what you are doing.  

例：Yeah, these words are more of a perfunctory response.

       She gave the list only a perfunctory glance...
       她马马虎虎地扫了一眼清单。

       Our interest was purely perfunctory.
