大家一起快乐记单词


【活动内容】

英语角每周放出七个单词，并配上妙趣横生的图片。
帮助大家在会心一笑的同时，记住这些英文单词。
咱们的要求就是，请大家在了解完各自的单词之后，
用该单词造个句子即可。
轻轻松松学英语，就是这么简单！
下面的则是一些在囧记单词里面的一些小附加神马的。活动内容及奖励不变


【活动奖励】

用每期所给出的七个单词分别造句。每造一句子，20PB的奖励，限3句，每句句型不得重复。相同的单词限同一楼层回复。

规则：

         1. 一个句子奖励20PB，在同一个句子中，每多使用本期的一个单词，就多奖励5PB，即一个句子里使用两个单词奖励25PB，使用三个单词奖励30PB，以此类推。   用到两个及以上单词时，请用不同颜色标注出你所用到的单词。
2．每周七个单词，每个单词都至少造一个句子，且都符合造句要求的将获得英语角骑士勋章2积分。
         3.欢迎大家提供新的单词来记，版主根据难易度和常见度审核所提交的单词，一经采纳，更有多重惊喜等你来拿！
         4.为了“记单词”活动更有声色，更具有实际性，从这期开始，LZ会在贴子里增加好听的英文歌，也希望参加的各位pairs多多提供好听的英文歌，一经采纳，同样有多重惊喜！~(≧▽≦)/~啦啦啦

【造句要求】

使用每周给出的新单词造句，所造句子不可与给出的例句雷同；专有名词，如地名，人名，商标名，书名，电影电视名，歌曲名等等，不可用于造句；也不可造类似“I have learned a new word or phrase "XXX".”这种不能体现该单词意义的句子。

英语角的单词造句鼓励原创，若被版主有理由怀疑其从网上直接摘抄，将不给活动分。

gluttonous

curb

1. VERB 控制;抑制;限定;约束 If you curb something, you control it and keep it within limits.  

例： Excuse me Sir, no photographing in the zoo, please curb your enthusiasm, just a little bit.
       不好意思，先生，这里不准拍照，请克制一下，一下就好。

2.N-COUNT 路缘；道牙；马路牙子 The curb is the raised edge of a pavement or sidewalk which separates it from the road.

paramilitary

 onomatopoeia [ˌɑnəˌmætəˈpiə, -ˌmɑtə-]  n. 拟声，象声词，拟声词









onomatopoeia

1. N-UNCOUNT 拟声；象声 Onomatopoeia refers to the use of words which sound like the noise they refer to. 'Hiss', 'buzz', and 'rat-a-tat-tat' are examples of onomatopoeia.

例：The word "Blue" is an example of onomatoppoeia in this context.
       "Blue"在此处是拟声词。

       Words like rustle and gargle are illustrations of onomatopoeia.
       词像沙沙和漱口有插图的象声词。
        
       Chinese and Japanese are representative languages with abundant use of onomatopoeia among them.
