大家一起快乐记单词


【活动内容】

英语角每周放出七个单词，并配上妙趣横生的图片。
帮助大家在会心一笑的同时，记住这些英文单词。
咱们的要求就是，请大家在了解完各自的单词之后，
用该单词造个句子即可。
轻轻松松学英语，就是这么简单！
下面的则是一些在囧记单词里面的一些小附加神马的。活动内容及奖励不变


【活动奖励】

用每期所给出的七个单词分别造句。每造一句子，20PB的奖励，限3句，每句句型不得重复。相同的单词限同一楼层回复。

规则：

        1. 一个句子奖励20PB，在同一个句子中，每多使用本期的一个单词，就多奖励5PB，即一个句子里使用两个单词奖励25PB，使用三个单词奖励30PB，以此类推。   用到两个及以上单词时，请用不同颜色标注出你所用到的单词。
2．每周七个单词，每个单词都至少造一个句子，且都符合造句要求的将获得英语角骑士勋章2积分。
        3.欢迎大家提供新的单词来记，版主根据难易度和常见度审核所提交的单词，一经采纳，更有多重惊喜等你来拿！
        4.为了“记单词”活动更有声色，更具有实际性，从这期开始，LZ会在贴子里增加好听的英文歌，也希望参加的各位pairs多多提供好听的英文歌，一经采纳，同样有多重惊喜！~(≧▽≦)/~啦啦啦

【造句要求】

使用每周给出的新单词造句，所造句子不可与给出的例句雷同；专有名词，如地名，人名，商标名，书名，电影电视名，歌曲名等等，不可用于造句；也不可造类似“I have learned a new word or phrase "XXX".”这种不能体现该单词意义的句子。

英语角的单词造句鼓励原创，若被版主有理由怀疑其从网上直接摘抄，将不给活动分。

  shuttle [ˈʃʌtl] n. 航天飞机，短程快运（飞机、火车、汽车等），梭子；







shuttle

1.N-COUNT 往来于两地之间的航班(或班车、火车) A shuttle is a plane, bus, or train which makes frequent journeys between two places.

例：With the shuttle, we took the "don't fix, if it isn't broken" approach.
      对于航天飞机，我们奉行的方针是：“只要它没有烂，就不用修缮改进啥的”。


2. V-ERG (使)频繁往来于(两地之间) If someone or something shuttles or is shuttled from one place to another place, they frequently go from one place to the other.

例：He and colleagues have shuttled back and forth between the three capitals...

generosity

1. N-UNCOUNT 慷慨；大方 If you refer to someone's generosity, you mean that they are generous, especially in doing or giving more than is usual or expected.  

例：His generosity is extraordinary.

      He treated them with generosity and thoughtfulness.

1.N-UNCOUNT 期待;期望；预期 Your expectations are your strong hopes or beliefs that something will happen or that you will get something that you want.

例：Unrealistic expectations are often the source of unhappiness.
      不切实际的期望，是许多不幸的源泉。

2.  N-COUNT 期望;希望 A person's expectations are strong beliefs which they have about the proper way someone should behave or something should happen.  

例：Stephen Chase had determined to live up to the expectations of the Company.

absolve

1.VERB 免除…的过失;解除…的责任 If a report or investigation absolves someone from blame or responsibility, it formally states that he or she is not guilty or is not to blame.

例：I guess, I just absolved myself.
      看来我把自己给赦免了。

      ...the inquiry which absolved the soldiers.
      宣告士兵们并无任何过失的调查

  organize [ˈɔː(r)ɡənaɪz] vt.& vi 组织，编组，创立；使组成工会，使加入工会







organize

1.VERB 组织；安排；筹备 If you organize an event or activity, you make sure that the necessary arrangements are made.  

例：Organizing children at bedtime is difficult enough, but it must be a most impossible with puppies.
      要孩子们乖乖睡觉很困难，小狗狗的话就更不可能了。

2.  VERB 提供，准备（想要或所需之物） If you organize something that someone wants or needs, you make sure that it is provided. 

例：I will organize transport...
      我来安排交通。

3. VERB 整理；使有条理；使具结构 If you organize a set of things, you arrange them in an ordered way or give them a structure.  

例：He began to organize his materials...

1. ADJ-GRADED 著名的，受尊敬的，有声望的 An eminent person is well-known and respected, especially because they are good at their profession.
