I am  a student,but I don't like English very much !I think it is boring!
      I know English is very important,but I can't  work it  very well,I am helpless.
  My Chinesea and Maths is not poor,but my English is poor!
    I try my best to learn something about English,but I always fali to improve my English,
I don't want to give up it,I wish someone could give me some advice,I am looking forward to hearing from you!!!

If you regard reciting new word is boring,you can see some English film.

Please recite at least 10 new words and then reading a fine article of English everyday.

I think the most important is that you must be intersted in English ,you should practice speaking English  ,ang then always thinks about other things in English

In my opinion, you can see Friends which is very useful for learning English,especially for your Oral English.And listening to some pop English music is another choice.
If you have the will to strength your English, everything will become much more easier~~

I believe the more you try to speak out in English, the more confidence you would be.
So, don't say "my English is poor" any more. Tell yourself that "I can do it." and get started from now. Watch movie, listen to the pop music, whatever, just do it NOW.

you can just learn English as a tool,which you may one day use to communicate with others.
Besides,nowadays almost everyone can speak English,so as a student,I think we should learn English well.It also does good to your score. 

I was blessed with the fact that I had to learn english alongside mandarin when I was young... But when I was learning a new language, I realize that there are many ways of going about it, most of which people from above have said.

The easiest method is listen to english songs and compare it with a mandarin translation if available. If not, they're still good for you to learn how to speak english =) That's how I learnt Japanesein the very least. Also, drama shows can help improve your language. Say for example, if you watch HOUSE with chinese subtitles, you'd end up learning more about the medical jargon alongside conversation skills. （最简单的方式是听英文歌曲然后再把歌词与华文翻译此对比一下。若没翻译，这些歌曲还是能够教你英文拼音啊　＝）这是我学日语的方式哦．看英文剧也有帮助的。譬如说若你有看拥有华文字幕的ＨＯＵＳＥ，它能够交你许多医学上的专用词句哦！～）

if you can constantly talk to people in english or watch more english movies
i think you will have big improvements

In my experience of learning english I would advice you to watch some english movies. don't use chinese subtitle becuase you wil never stopped yourself of reading the subtitle instead of listening. When choosing the movie your can watch it in chinese subtitle first to understand what's on the movie and then watch the english without subtitle again to practice the listening. When you first start, you can start with watching some action, comedy or Carton which will easier for you to understand. Actually, I don't suggest you to listen any kind of english music for learning english, because some of the sentence of the music actully not make sence or not follow the right gramma.
