大家一起快乐记单词


【活动内容】

英语角每周放出七个单词，并配上妙趣横生的图片。
帮助大家在会心一笑的同时，记住这些英文单词。
咱们的要求就是，请大家在了解完各自的单词之后，
用该单词造个句子即可。
轻轻松松学英语，就是这么简单！
下面的则是一些在囧记单词里面的一些小附加神马的。活动内容及奖励不变


【活动奖励】

用每期所给出的七个单词分别造句。每造一句子，20PB的奖励，限3句，每句句型不得重复。相同的单词限同一楼层回复。

规则：

         1. 一个句子奖励20PB，在同一个句子中，每多使用本期的一个单词，就多奖励5PB，即一个句子里使用两个单词奖励25PB，使用三个单词奖励30PB，以此类推。   用到两个及以上单词时，请用不同颜色标注出你所用到的单词。
2．每周七个单词，每个单词都至少造一个句子，且都符合造句要求的将获得英语角骑士勋章2积分。
         3.欢迎大家提供新的单词来记，版主根据难易度和常见度审核所提交的单词，一经采纳，更有多重惊喜等你来拿！
         4.为了“记单词”活动更有声色，更具有实际性，从这期开始，LZ会在贴子里增加好听的英文歌，也希望参加的各位pairs多多提供好听的英文歌，一经采纳，同样有多重惊喜！~(≧▽≦)/~啦啦啦

楼主举例：

【造句要求】

使用每周给出的新单词造句，所造句子不可与给出的例句雷同；专有名词，如地名，人名，商标名，书名，电影电视名，歌曲名等等，不可用于造句；也不可造类似“I have learned a new word or phrase "XXX".”这种不能体现该单词意义的句子。

英语角的单词造句鼓励原创，若被版主有理由怀疑其从网上直接摘抄，将不给活动分。

no-show

1.N-SING If someone who is expected to go somewhere fails to go there, you can say that they are a no-show. 爽约者

例： I was in for a no-show game, and I got stood up.
        我报名参加了放鸽子大赛，结果被放了鸽子。

例：Although video streaming is a no-show, both full IM and voice communication is supported directly over wireless networks.
       尽管此客服端不带视频功能，但是，即时信息和语音通信都可以直接通过无线网络使用。

transliterate

1. V to transcribe (a word, etc, in one alphabet) into corresponding letters of another alphabet 把(一个字母体系的单词等)按另一字母体系拼写

例： We burst into laughters when seeing how they transliterate English subtitles.
        音译字幕又立功了，观众朋友笑喷了。

例 ：For the examples in this article, you can use any Smart Common Input Method platform (SCIM) software to transliterate the English characters to Hindi.

slothful

例： Civil war could come if the country breaks up.

1.N-COUNT A candidate is someone who is being considered for a position, for example someone who is running in an election or applying for a job. 候选人

例： You never see a candidate's true face until after they win an election.
        你只有在候选人赢得选举以后才能见到他们的庐山真面目！

2.N-COUNT A candidate is someone who is studying for a degree at a college. 攻读学位者
  
例 ：He is now a candidate for a Master's degree in social work at San Francisco State University.
