Lisa arrived in London at last. The railway station was big, black and dark. She did not know the way to her hotel, so Lisa asked a porter. She not only spoke English very carefully, but very clearly as well. The porter, however, could not understand her. She repeated her question several times and at last he understood. He answered her, but he spoke neither slowly nor clearly. "I am a foreigner," Lisa said. Then he spoke slowly, but I could not understand him. Lisa's teacher never spoke English like that! The porter and Lisa looked at each other and smiled. Then the porter said something and Lisa understood it. "You'll soon learn English!" he said. Lisa wonder. In England, each man seaks a different language. The English understand each other, but Lisa dont understand them! Do they speak English?


In my opinion, the English everyone have their personal  accent and pronunciation.How about you?

it depends on what English she learned...
american English is different from British English..
it's the matter of time, when people hear things over and over, they will get it.
that's how i learn my english.

I don't think Scotlant English is that terrible, however.
